Our Story

Clean Burn Tech AS originates from one of Norway’s largest players in chimney rehabilitation, Pipe Eksperten AS, and was founded in 2023.

The company was established to develop technology that reduces particulate and greenhouse gas emissions from wood burning. The former main owner spent several years researching future heating technology and holds the patent that forms the basis for the company’s innovation.

Research-Based Technology

The technology is developed in collaboration with leading international research institutes and is patent-protected.

The combustion technology research has been conducted with Opole University of Technology and chimney manufacturer Jawar, with additional expertise from SINTEF Energy and RISE Fire Laboratory.

Clean Burn Tech’s technology has been thoroughly tested by SINTEF, one of Norway’s leading research institutions in energy and environment. The results show dramatic improvements in the combustion process compared to certified stoves:
